How We Started?

News And Reviews started it’s online life at the end of January 2010. Primarily set up to bring worldwide users all the latest news on various popular subjects, News And Reviews also offer’s review publications on all the latest and greatest products.

Unlike many other review publication website’s out there, News And Reviews is typically unique in it’s publication layout. Dragging itself away from the 15+ pages of total nonsense offered up by so many other review sites, News And Reviews has only one goal: to offer it’s readers only the important information on a product/item.

As the staff of News And Reviews are readers of review site’s themselves, they know only too well the babble printed on the pages. No one wants to know the colour of a box when they spend £300 of their hard earned cash, nor do they want a detailed breakdown of each and every button, switch, dial or lever. As a reader only 3 things are important:

- The Beginning
- The Middle
- The End

In other words:

- The product description/features/specifications
- How the product/item performs (what it’s all about)
- Conclusion (is it worth buying or not)

In terms of the companies whom we choose to review items from, each one is awarded it’s own merit based solely on the item sitting on our workbench. If an item isn’t worth bothering about, we’ll let the reader’s and companies know. If we want to shot it loud exactly how excellent a product/item is – then we will (in a very big way) – by means of merit stars within our specially designed review rating block.

What Happens With The Review Samples Once A Review Is Published?

News And Reviews typically don’t have a ‘Staffing Page’, this is because we employ the services of our reviewers on a ‘Part-Time’ basis. This means that we can offer the companies we work for a quick turn-around in terms of review publication time-scales, and also employ the services of reviewers who have a particular ‘Skills’ in certain item categories.

It is because of this that, unless previously agreed upon, all review samples are kept by the individual reviewers once the review publication is complete and live on our site. All samples received are either kept for personal use for future comparisons or sold on to gain a small income for the reviewers and the time they allocate to each publication. If the item is not required by the individual reviewer it will be kept by us for any future competition prize giveaways we may wish to run.
